Harold always made time to talk to me as a kid in high school. Of course he was Mr Nix to me then. He would visit the school fairly often and he'd always say hello and had encouraging words for me. It meant a lot and I'd always take his encouragement to heart. He seemed to get what I was going thru and knew just what to say. Prayers for you and lots of love to the family. Decade or 2 Later all my lawyer friends were astonished to hear this since he became a giant in his profession and most of the law school books. Bless you all

In 1978, I was thinking about dropping out of law school and working as a man-in-charge partner in an oil field operation. I would have made more money for my family, and we needed the money. I did not know any lawyers. However, Buck Florence helped me and introduced me to Harold Nick's at the old office, across from the courthouse.
