Shirley Nell Higgins

Funeral services for Shirley Nell Higgins, 83, of Hughes Springs will be held 1 PM Friday, December 17, 2021 at the First Baptist Church, Lone Star, Texas. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Shirley was born February 17, 1938 in Benton, Kentucky to Willard and Lennie Howard. She went home to be with her Lord on December 11, 2021. She was a member of First Baptist Church Lone Star and she had a heart for service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard Neyland Higgins; parents; step-mother, Elenor Howard; brother, Wesley Gale Howard. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alecia Darlene and Larry Albert of Gladewater; brother Joe Howard of Paducah, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the funeral home.
