Celebrating the life of Mary Inez Deckard, who brightened the world with her vibrant spirit from her birth on May 5, 1946, until her peaceful passing on September 24, 2026. A resident of Hughes Springs, Mary was known for her energetic nature and joyful enthusiasm for life.
Mary cherished the time spent dancing in her younger years and always loved having a good time. Her passion for fishing brought tranquil moments by the water, providing cherished memories for those who knew her. As a wonderful cook, Mary was invariably the life of the party, gracing friends and family with her delectable creations and radiant personality.
Mary’s legacy is continued through her loving family, including her daughter, Robin Russell and her husband David of Hughes Springs; her sons, Jeff Sapp and his wife Sheri of Avinger, and Gerald Sapp and his wife Vicki of Dunnellon, Florida. Her love and merriment will also be remembered by her numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who brought immense joy to her life.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Hart Snyder, and her son, James Sapp, whose memories remain a comfort to her family and friends.
In memory of her vibrant and giving spirit, contributions may be made to the Crossroads Missionary Baptist Church, Youth Fund, at 11608 FM 130, Hughes Springs, Texas 75656, a cause close to Mary’s heart.
Mary’s exuberance and kind-hearted nature have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she will be profoundly missed.
