Lucy Lourene Tidwell

Lucy Lourene Tidwell, 87, of Hughes Springs, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. She was born on November 10, 1938, in West Virginia to Okey Ingram Sr. and Verna McVay Ingram.

Lucy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family dearly. For many years, she owned and operated her own dry-cleaning business and worked as a beauty consultant. She enjoyed reading, watching the Weather Channel, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Lucy was a faithful attendee of Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs and will be remembered for the love and care she shared with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Okey Ingram Sr. and Verna McVay Ingram; her daughter, Regina Lynn Swadley Hoover; and her brother, Okey Ingram Jr.

Lucy leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Steve Tidwell; her children, Gary Bissette and wife, Linda, Charlene Erb and husband, Dennis, and Rick McNichols; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home.
