Judy Oliver

December 1, 1943 ~ March 12, 2026

Born in: Marshall, Texas
Resided in: Longview, Texas

Judy Oliver was received peacefully by our Lord on March 12, 2026. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Judy was born December 1, 1943 in Marshall, Texas. She lived there until 1959 when her family moved to Longview. She graduated from Longview High School and attended ETBU.

She was a precious soul who cared for her family, friends and customers. All that knew her, knew she was deeply rooted in her faith.
Judy worked at Community Bank from 1984 until her retirement in 2014. She was employed at Town North Bank previous to that. She was in banking most of her life.

Judy was a member of Greggton United Methodist Church where she was very involved in her Sunday school class and the Women’s Prayer Group. She has many dear friends from her time at the church. She was a very faithful woman and spent a lot of time with others studying the word of God, as well as through many ministries the church supported.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Judge Finklea Sr and Frances Finklea.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jackie Kureska of Summerville, SC, daughter Julie Weeks and son-in-law Todd Weeks of White Oak, Tx., and Janet Oliver of Longview, Tx.; her grandchildren: Reid Weeks, Conner Weeks, Kyla and Brandon Cook and Macy Weeks, Katelyn Kureska, Austin Ferguson and Payton and Trenton Vaughn, as well as numerous great grandchildren; brother Judge Finklea Jr and Mindy, sisters Genelle Wooten and Dave, and Jan Blow and Craig with several nieces and nephews

Judy was one of the most faithful women I have ever known. She spent a lot of time in the Word and with so many close friends. I will miss seeing her do those important special things. She was the first to offer help in whatever way needed and took so much pride in her ability to be there when others needed it. I know that her hospitality is one of the most special gifts she had.

There will be a meet and greet on Friday, March 20th 10:30-11:30 to visit with family and friends. A private lunch for the family will be held afterward at White Oak Community Church, 1501 N. White Oak Rd. White Oak, Tx 75693.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the White Oak Community Church for the Judy Oliver memorial fund at 1501 N. White Oak Rd., White Oak, Texas 75693.
