Judith Elaine Botsford Galpin
Judith Elaine Botsford Galpin was born on June 1, 1938, to George and LaVerne Botsford in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School and went on later in life to obtain her Bachelor and Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin Stout. She taught culinary arts at Chippewa Valley Technical College until her retirement. She married Ray Galpin on August 9, 1986. They retired to Florida in 1995. Ray preceded her in death on January 22, 2014. Judy moved to Illinois in 2017 but then moved back to Florida in 2021.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband Ray, her parents, all her grandparents, all her aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and her in-laws.
Judy is survived by her brother, Dr. Jon Botsford and his wife Annie; Her children Sue Sams, Tom Galpin and Mike Galpin; Her grandchildren Dr. Jacob Sams and wife Kristin and their children Jordan, Luke, Cole and Kaitlyn, Michael Sams and wife Jill and their children Mia, Jase, Jaxon and Macklin, Jess Ryder and her husband Grant and their children Layton and Paxton, Sarah Galpin, Ben Galpin and his wife Stephanie and their children Aston and Lia, Victoria Hathaway and her husband Tyler and their children Nolan and Mia, Patricia Wilson and her children Ruby and Claire, Ian Galpin and his wife Kayla and their daughter Emma, Dylan Galpin and his children Silvia and Tyr and Elizabeth Galpin.
She is also survived by her nieces Janet Ryman, Debbie Westbrook and her husband Wes, Shari Krienke and her husband Kendall, and her nephew Steven Botsford and his wife Martiza.
She is also survived by 14 great nieces and nephews, 31 great great nieces and nephews, and one great great great nephew.
She is also survived by her very dear cousins Phyllis Allsop and her husband Dennis and their children, Cindy Liptak and her children and Chuck Botsford and his wife Tracy and their son; John Kramschuster and his wife Christine and their children, Debbie Bloom and her children and Candy Sinow and her daughter; Tom Krenz and his wife Janet and their children, and Jim Krenz; Tom, Bobby, David and Janet Clark; and Charles Hinzman.
She is also survived by two very special friends, Jo Ann Tanner and Cyn Cronkwright.
Judy also welcomed into her life the children of her sister in law, Annie Botsford. They, in turn, welcomed Judy and were able to make special memories with her. They are Annie’s daughter Sherry Pritchett and her husband Allen and their daughters, Emma and Brennen; son Ricky Dudik and his wife Jessica and their children Dylan, Rylan and Addilyn and son Randy Dudik.
Judy cherished her church family, her Sunday School Class, her Bible Study Class and her Rummikub group.
Judy was loved by many and she loved many. Everyone that knew Judy will have special memories of her.
Services for Judy are pending. A Celebration of Life will be held at her church in Punta Gorda, Florida and another service will be held in Texas for her Texas family. Services are pending and have been entrusted to Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield.
