John Parsley of Daingerfield, Tx passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 58.
John was a man who found joy in the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, and riding in his Suzuki Samurai, something that brought him a lot of happiness. He appreciated the simple things in life and made the most of every moment he could.
He was known for his generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. John was a diesel mechanic by trade for decades at places like Fulks Diesel, Caterpillar and Kelly Tractor and could fix just about anything. He was always fixing things, lending a hand, and showing up for others without hesitation. He had a natural ability to make people laugh and feel at ease, no matter what he was going through himself.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Helene Parsley, Ila and Grady Monroe, and his mother, Sherry Brock.
John is survived by his wife of 22 years, Tiffany Parsley; his sons, Jacob and Cody Parsley; and his daughter, Kelly Parsley. He was a proud grandfather to Ella Parsley, Scarlett Parsley, Charlotte Parsley, Lily Parsley, Shiloh Parsley, Willow Parsley, Channing Parsley, Oakley Parsley, and Brooks Parsley. He is also survived by his father, Billy Mack Parsley; his sisters, Mary Parsley Cantrell, Jennifer Gray, Rachel Temple, and Elizabeth Parsley Tucker; his brother, Billy Parsley; as well as many aunts and cousins.
John’s kindness and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his big heart, his strength, and the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of others.
Funeral services are set for 2 PM Friday, April 24, 2026, in the Chapel of Horn Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Daingerfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM prior to the service.
