James Burton DuBoseDaingerfield-Memorial services for James Burton DuBose, 63 of Daingerfield will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 19, 2018 at First Baptist Church-Cason with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 till service time at the church.Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.James was born on June 6, 1954 in Gardner, Mass. to Amos Allen and Teresa Alice DuBose. He died on Monday, January 15, 2018.James worked for the City of Daingerfield for 16 years in the public works department. He graduated from Pine Tree High School.James was preceded in death by his parents and son Gene DuBose.Survived by his wife Carol DuBose of Daingerfield; daughter Jamie DuBose and Seth Kirby of Palestine; son Steven Allen and Catt Dubose of Longview; sister Dora Butts of Kilgore; grandchildren Wesley DuBose, Melissa DuBose, Marcia DuBose, Ryan Nicholson, Abbie Donaldson, Chase DuBose, Kikku Kirby, Jayden DuBose, Jaylee DuBose and Bobby DuBose; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  4. so sorry to hear this. i knew James for years at pine tree. he was a true individual with a great sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around- truly one in a million. my deepest condolences to his family in their loss.rest in peace old friend- you will be sorely missed.

  5. Carol, we’re so very sorry. Flash was a good friend to us many years ago. He was a good, good man; always a gentleman, and always kind. I only recall seeing him angry one time, and it was because of how a man was mistreating a woman, and he didn’t feel like he could do anything about it. He was an honorable man. Please accept our most sincere condolences. May you find comfort knowing that so many loved him.

Only knew FLASH from the group of people we had in common and just being in the crowd at the same time.I always heard people speak his name, and was never bad talk about him.   12. My sweet cousin…so many wonderful memories of our younger years but I especially remember the time you spent with our Dad, Wesley, in his last years and I thank you. i will keep your family in my thoughts and prays.

  13. I remember James from high school. One of the good guys that was friends with everyone. He was funny, friendly, and fair. Saw him at a reunion several years back and though we all looked a little different, nothing about his character had changed. I enjoyed visiting with him. My sincere condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
