Huey Harris BazarDaingerfield-Funeral services for Huey Harris Bazar, 89, of Lone Star will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Lone Star Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Darby, Bro Norman Crisp and Bro Rick Monds officiating. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Huey was born on December 19, 1922 in Montgomery, La. and died Monday, April 2, 2012 in Longview.Huey was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church where served as a Deacon. He also served as a minister at various churchs in the area. He was retired from Lone Star Steel and A&E Machine Shop. Huey was a member of Iron Bluff Masonic Lodge where served as a Chaplin. He also received Citizen of the Year from Lone Star.He was preceded in death by his son, Tim Bazar, and grandson, David Hawkins..Survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernice Bazar of Lone Star; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Bill McClain of Lone Star; brother, Issac Bazar of Kansas; sisters, Evalene Rogers, Betty Adams, Grace Fletcher, and Jimmie Heminger all of Alexandria, La.; 5 grandchildren, Michael McClain, Brad McClain, Robbie Bazar, Wendi Bazar and Kim Hawkins; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc.Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M.   6. Huey Bazar was a great person and at one time was my Pastor at the County Line Baptist Church I attended with my grandparents.. He Baptized me.. My sympathies are with Bernice and Diana, I remember Tim also..Huey Bazar was a caring and kind man who served the Lord in every sense of the word.. He was a credit to all who knew him and his community and family.. He will be missed.. R.I.P. For the Lord will say to him, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
