Florine Kolb Dorsey

Florine Kolb Dorsey, age 101, passed away on August 31, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1925, and was born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas, where she attended high school. She was lovingly known as “Baby” by her family because she was the youngest of six children.

Florine was a seamstress for most of her life and took pride in her work. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time watching one of her favorite television shows, Perry Mason.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Cleveland Kolb, Theodore Kolb, Floyd Kolb, Kathleen Kolb Mitchell, and Josephine Kolb.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Maness and his wife, Tina, and her son, Charles Dorsey Jr.; her grandchildren, Sabrina, Charles, and Luke; and her great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Michael, and Riley.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Capstone in Daingerfield for the loving care and compassion they provided to Florine. A private inurnment will take place at Lone Star Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas. Arrangements have been entrusted to Horn Family Funeral Home in Daingerfield, Texas.
