Earnest JC Cole

Earnest JC Cole, 85 of Maud was born June 2, 1941, in Maud, Texas to James and Joyce Cole. He passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, at a local nursing facility.

He spent his life as a cross-country truck driver and mechanic. He loved spending time working on old antique cars and going on Jeep runs. His most prized possession was his little dog named Bud.

JC is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Cole; parents, James and Joyce Cole; brothers, Donnie and Frank Cole; and sister Merlene Ratliff

He is survived by his children, Linda Taylor and husband Joe of Texarkana, Texas and Gin Cole of Texarkana, Texas; granddaughter, Leighann Ridley and husband Craig of Texarkana, Texas; great grandchild, Leighton Livingston of Texarkana, Texas; siblings, Linda Kay Downs, Virginia Swecker and Shirley Cole.

His favorite verse was, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me”. Philippians 4:13

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
