Dwan Gothard McMurrian December 24, 1979-April 11, 2023 Dwan Michelle Gothard McMurrian of Texarkana, Texas was born on December 24, 1979 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She passed from this life and went to be with the Lord at the age of 43, on April 11, 2023. Dwan was born on Christmas Eve to Deb and Don Gothard. At age 11, Richard Garland came into her life as a bonus dad and later became known as “Pops” to her. Dwan loved spending time with her daughter Madi, family and friends. Her hobbies included skydiving and riding motorcycles. She has always been a beautiful, intelligent, caring and hardworking person. She graduated Ashdown High School a year early in 1997. Dwan had a love for nursing which she began at the age of 18 when she graduated with a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) degree at Cossatot Community School in 1998. Dwan worked as an LPN at Arkansas Renal Systems in Conway, AR from 2000-2010 while continuing her education in nursing. Dwan studied General Studies at University of Central Arkansas then went on to receive her Registered Nurse (RN) degree at the University of Arkansas Community College in Morrilton, AR in 2010. She continued her studies at the University of Little Rock where she earned a Bachelor of Health Science in 2011. Dwan then moved to Texarkana where she worked at Vamana Dialysis, Heritage Home Health & Hospice, and Gentiva Hospice. In October 2020, Dwan started working for Christus Saint Michael Rehabilitation Hospital where she recently earned Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) which shows her dedication, expertise and knowledge of the rehabilitation specialty. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Braden McMurrian and her daughter Madison (Madi) Alexander of Mayflower, AR. and her parents Deb and Richard Garland of Richmond, AR. She leaves behind one stepson, Ryker McMurrian and her brothers, Donny Gothard of Sealy, Texas and Kevin Harrison of Katy, Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Don Gothard, Jr., her grandparents who loved her dearly: Virginia Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Rainer of Ashdown and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Don Gothard, Sr. of Texas. 8. This day at work when we had the whole clinic by ourselves and we loved loved loved it. I remember that day like yesterday. I was your tech back then and you were my biggest cheerleader to go to nursing school and convinced me I could actually do it with my three kids! Your confidence in me had a big part in me going back to school and becoming a nurse especially with us working so awesomely together!! Your impact in my life will always have a huge imprint in my life. I have thought of so many memories. I remember my husband and I were camping out of town and I lost my keys. My husband was freaking out like what are we going to do and how in the world was we going to make it home. I told him I needed to call you. I called you and literally only had to wait on the drive time it took for you to get there. You saved us that day. I loved we both knew anytime all we had to do is call if we needed anything no matter what. I have not met a better friend since you.

  9. You always loved this picture of us and when it popped up on your memories you always sent this pic my way. I love you and will always remember you. I pray for your family and always send my love.
