Private family services for Curtis Leslie, 79, of Hughes Springs will be held in Hughes Springs. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Mr. Leslie was born on August 25, 1943 in Durant, MS to Curtis, Sr. and Irene Leslie. He passed away on Monday morning, November 7, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Leslie was an electrician and was a proud member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He enjoyed many things in life. Some of his favorite things included hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved to ride and work with his John Deere Tractor, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and really enjoyed the time he spent with his grandson River. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Mr. Leslie was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Suzanne Leslie of Hughes Springs; sons, Richard Leslie of Cheyenne, WY, Brody Davis and wife Danielle of San Marcos; daughter, Caitlane Leslie of Hughes Springs; grandchildren, Brandie Leslie, Trevor Leslie, Spencer Leslie, River Payton; great grandchildren, Anyia, Azle, Adalee; sisters, Brenda Davis of Caddo Mills, Gail "Joanne" Leslie Daniel of Rowlette; and brother, Mark Leslie of Tyler.

  1. Curtis was the e-board chairman while I worked at the union hall. He was always the nicest person in any gathering. He was always fair to everyone and will be sincerely missed. R.I.P. Curtis. My prayers for his family members.
