The visitation will be held at Veal Switch Baptist Church at 3393 Texas Highway 11, Hughes Springs, TX 75656.Mickey was a wonderful and truly loved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and amazing friend to so many. She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Llewellyn Thomas, step father James Howell and many aunts, uncles, and friends.Mickey is survived by her husband of 40 years, Loyd Schuerman, her mother Wanda Howell; Aunt's Mary Bennion and Peggy Brian; Brothers Leslie, Fred, Price, Greg, and Johnny Thomas; Sister Christine Kurkendall; Step brothers Jimmy and Paul Howell and sister Jayme and Doug Barker; Nephews and nieces Timothy and Christy Thomas, Jeremiah and Robin Thomas, Samantha and Jeff Dakota, Dustin Thomas, and Hayden, Chloe, Ryghlie and Maverick Barker. Also surviving Mickey, are a number of great nephews, nieces and countless friends. She from the start of meeting people did not judge them but gave to all a warm since of her friendly nature. Even when some guy started yelling ugly words at her as she was walking across the Walmart parking lot, all she did was wave at him and let him disappear in the crowd. Mickey worked for over 20 years at Walmart. Even when her health was getting worse, she still fought hard every day to put in her time. Mickey was always the first one to tell anyone she loved them and truly meant it.She was very straight forward and told you how she felt no matter what, and could hold a grudge for years, (Mrs. tippy toes doll). But most importantly above everything, Mickey loved the lord and took him as her savior at an early age. She started playing the piano early in life and enjoyed playing beautiful songs to our lord as often as she could. We know now she is in heaven with a huge part of our family and singing praises to our Lord and savior and feels no pain.Mickey, you will be truly missed and thought of every day. We all love you so much.
