I didn’t know Mr. Goodson personally, however he was a teacher (band director) while my children were in school in D’field. I know he was a great band director and the kids all loved him. RIP Mr. Goodson and my condolences to his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mr. Goodson was a great band director and mentor to so many of us. I will always remember my time in the DHS bands, and how he always expected the best from us.

I have fond memories of being in the Daingerfield band while Mr. Goodson was the director. He taught us more than music, he taught us how to work as a team and to do our best. Prayers for the family.

Bill and I were in the Texas High School Tiger Band together and he was great tuba player and very good friend.. He wwill be remembered by the ones who went to school with him as a very kind and fun young man. He will always be young to his fellow band members. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
my wife and I were good friends with Bill and Beverly during the 1980s in Greenville….The world was a better place because of these beautiful people.
Prayers for your family at this time with the passing of your dad. He had such a love for his son and also for music and for all of the kids that he taught. It showed through him as he taught us and as you taught us because you learned it straight from him.
Kenny, Your Dad was a wonderful person and meant a lot to me. I’m in New York this week and won’t be able to attend the services, but you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Goodson taught so many of us to be winners and the effort that it takes to excell. Learning to be a winner was on of the most valuable life lessons from High School. He also taught us to love music on a much higher scale than listening to someone else’s contribution. There are too many fun times I will remember forever because of Mr. Goodson. I will forever be indebted to his influence over my life.
Kenny, so sorry to hear about your Father. I never had him as a teacher but worked in his office for a semester. He was such a kind and interesting man.
