Thelma Bosche

thelma bosche

June 13, 1925 ~ May 30, 2015

Thelma Bosche a resident of Waco and Daingerfield, Texas, passed away May 30, 2015. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, with the Pastor Joe Peebles officiating at the Graveside beside the Waco Memorial Chapel Mausoleum in the veteran section in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield, Texas. Thelma was born June 13, 1925 in Newkirk, Okla. to Lee and Grace Campbell. Thelma graduated from a junior college in Okla., before moving to Waco to attend Baylor University. She retired from AT&T Telephone Co. (formally known as Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.). She was a beautiful lady with a gentle soul. If you saw a glittery jewel, perfect in every way, that would be her. She always put everyone before herself. Never had a cross word, always looking at the positive side. She loved everyone and especially her family, she would help them always. Her laughter was the sound of hummingbirds, soft and sweet. Now when the family hears a hummingbird, it will remind them of her. She was the best grandma anyone could have, playing tea parties and games, going to garage sales, and cooking her famous homemade fudge. The girls remember putting a lizard in her hair and running away and they would all laugh. Love and Laughter was her very soul. Her two best friends were her husband Gene of 54 years of marriage and her sister Velma. I have never seen two sisters that loved each other like they did. When Gene and Thelma were together, you saw the perfect marriage, loving, caring, and the number one thing is they were best friends. Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; her step-son Gene Bosche Jr; her sister Velma Greene; her sister-in-law Mary Bosche, her nephews: Mervin Bosche, Donald Bosche, Kent Cumming, Stephen Greene. Thelma is survived by her husband Gene Bosche. Her daughter Debbie Rush and husband Lee. Her step-son: Fred Bosche and wife Frances, her step-daughter-in-law: Pat Bosche, 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her brother-in-laws: Dean Bosche and Ken Wagers. Her niece: Sheryl Carroll, nephew: David Bosche; and many other family members and friends. She was very proud of everyone and would keep in touch by writing letters or calling. She would never miss sending a Christmas card out with a personal note in it. She was one of a kind. I know she is with her sister and they are together again, watching over their loved ones. They are the guardian angels of the family, like the ones before. I want to thank everyone involved in Thelma's life. When you see an older person, remember they are full of lifetime memories and knowledge. Sit down with one just to talk and you will learn something to pass on to another person, because everyone has a story and it will brighten up their day. Love always, Gene and family
