Daingerfield-Terry Lynn Pilgrim 69, of Daingerfield was born May 23, 1950 in Camp County and went peacefully into the loving arms of his savior on January 8, 2020 in Tyler Texas.He is survived by his loving wife Sherry Sonia Denny Pilgrim of Daingerfield, sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and Jennifer Pilgrim of Longview and Jeremy and Teresa Pilgrim of Lone Star; grandchildren, Bradley Justiss and Taylor Pilgrim of Gladewater, Morgan Paige Pilgrim and Cameron Barron of Daingerfield, Austin Layne Pilgrim of Lone Star, Haley Shaddix and Damion Jeffcoat of Lone Star, Aubrey Leann Lynn Pilgrim of Lone Star ; great grandchildren Emori Grace Mathis and Jax Langston Pilgrim of Daingerfield; two expected great grandchildren Mavery Jaine Lynn Pilgrim and Beau Ray Barron; brother Gary and Evett Pilgrim of Mt. Pleasant, sister Judy and John Deishler of Pittsburg, brother Steven Wade Pilgrim of Mt. Pleasant, brother-in-law Rusty and Nora Denny of New Mexico; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents C W and Josephine Banks Pilgrim.Terry was retired from U S Steel after 40 years and was a faithful member of Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church where he worked on the grounds, buildings and in the AWANA Program. He was also a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. He is well known for his love of family, work ethics, camping and coon hunting. He loved to hear the long clear bawl of his english hounds.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church with Internment in the Veal Switch Cemetery.Visitation will be Saturday January 11, 2020 at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home from 6 till 8 P.M.Memorial donations may be made to Veal Switch Baptist Church youth camp fund.Thank you to the Elite Home Health, U T Tyler and U T Dallas for the loving care given during our time of need.
