Terry, his brother George and I were in school together in Hughes Springs. Terry was a smart guy, especially in science. He was a talented musician, playing guitar in a local rock and roll band along with Ben Hay and others. His uncle, Ruby Pyland, always took a special interest in Terry.

Terry was a good friend of mine back in High School. We jammed on guitars. He was always way ahead of me as he could pick up the tune from a record. He would call me up and tell me and say he he had the latest Beatles record. By the time I got to his house he had all the parts of the songs picked out. He would feed me the chords and he would play lead. I still play those tune and always think of Terry. i learned a lot from him. He was a really talented and smart guy back in the day. I have never forgotten him. Rest in Peace old friend. Maybe we can jam again someday.

I only knew Terry for a few years up here at the Nursing home. I will miss cutt’n up with him during my med pass. I enjoyed reading the memories about him above, I didn’t get to know much about him, except that he loved the guitar. I would bring mine up and play on them from time to time. I can respect the Beatles buy my genre is a little heavier than that, but he enjoyed it either way.
I’m honored to have known him, and thar he could always talk to me when he needed to.
