Funeral services for Stephen J. Lindsay, 73, of Omaha will be held at 10 AM Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries in Omaha with Bro. Dwaine Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Mr. Lindsay proudly served his country on three tours during Vietnam with the US ARMY, to honor his dedicated service to our country, full military honors will be presented by the American Legion Post 351 Honor Guard from Hughes Springs. The funeral procession will be led by the East Texas MC Veterans The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the funeral home. Lindsay, Stephen James (Steve) Age 73, Formerly of Anaheim, California. Passed away Tuesday August 16th,2022 at Titus Regional Mt Pleasant, Texas. Stephen (Steve) Was born to: James Calvin Lindsay, Labor Law Attorney & Mildred Corrine Lindsay (Gospel Singer) on June 7th, 1949, Los Angeles California. Stephen was a High School Graduate 1968, from Santiago High, Garden Grove California. Edison Tech College graduate 1985. Stephen served in the United States Army :1968-1974. Completing 3 tours of Vietnam, injured severely, and poisoned with Agent Orange, which ended his final tour as a Sgt. Stephen was also a Freemason, and American Legion member of the Omaha, Tx Lodge. Stephen was a very active loving member of The Bar Nun Cowboy Ministries of Omaha TX. Stephen spent his life fighting for Veterans rights and raised his only two Children (Heidi & Sean,) alone. Stephen was also a very talented artist, and wood carver. Stephen always offered a helping hand in his community and loved making other’s smile. Stephen enjoyed building models and working with his hands. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, and spending time with his grandchildren. Stephen is most famously known locally for his corny Dad jokes and fantastic fish tales and generosity to his community and those in need. Preceded in Death by his parents, James & Corrine Lindsay, Three brother’s. Danny Lindsay, Jimmy David Lindsay, and Timothy Wade Lindsay. Stephen was a divorcee, of 3 ex-wives. None of which live in Texas. Survived by His Oldest Child & daughter (Heidi Lindsay-Reinhardt, Son in-law Paul Victor Reinhardt, Son: Sean Paul Lindsay, Three grandchildren: Zoey Elizabeth Reinhardt, Audrey Claire Reinhardt, Ford Jameson Wilde-Lindsay.
