Stephen Gentry

Funeral services for Stephen "Steve" Gentry, 68, of Pittsburg, formerly of Daingerfield will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Frontier Cowboy Church, 2791 FM 593 in Gilmer with Brother J.N. Metcalf officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Monday evening, January 9, 2023 at the funeral home at 400 Webb St. in Daingerfield. Mr. Gentry was born on April 4, 1954 to Lewis and Ruby Gentry. He went to be with the Lord on Thursday night, January 5, 2023 in a Tyler hospital. Mr. Gentry worked for Ducks Automotive and along with his wife Ada owned and operated Tack-N-Stuff. He loved horses and old westerns and was a member of the Frontier Cowboy Church. He had recently attended Chuckwagon Cowboy Ministries. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; first wife whom he lost at an early age, Karen Gentry; his second wife of 37 years, Ada Gentry; sister, Sherry Duck and brothers, Tony Gentry and Bobby Gentry. Those left to cherish his memories are, son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Brandi Gentry of Longview; daughter, Jessica Ratliff of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Keyleigh Ratliff of Pittsburg, Everly Gentry of Longview as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
