Sam Kersey, 62, of Uncertain, formerly of Daingerfield was born on September 15, 1962 in Longview to Sammie and Lila Kersey. He passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2024 at his home. As much as he used his hands to work and provide, he also used them to share his talents for music by playing the guitar and even teaching his granddaughter to play the piano. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Glenda Kersey and one brother, James Kersey. He is survived by his loving daughter, Taylor Ramsey and husband Daniel of Uncertain; grandchildren, Alexis Deal, Ethan Ramsey, Memphis Ramsey all of Uncertain; brother, Gary Camp and wife Mary of Daingerfield; nieces, Meredith Camp of Daingerfield, Kaylee Shaddix of Daingerfield; nephews, Kevin Camp of Daingerfield and Clint Kersey of Daingerfield. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, September 23, 2024 in the Chapel of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield with Pastor Dale Jamerson officiating. Burial will follow in Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home located at 400 Webb St. in Daingerfield from 10AM to 11 AM on Monday morning prior to the service.
