Royce B. Jones

Funeral services for Royce B. Jones, 81, of Hughes Springs will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2024 in the Chapel of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM prior to the service. Mr. Jones was born on May 26, 1942 in Linden to Byron and Beulah Jones. He passed away early Saturday morning, May 18, 2024 in a Daingerfield nursing facility. He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force. Royce loved to fish, hunt and camp and was extremely outgoing. Royce was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Venita Jones; two children; his siblings, Mary Beth Jones Beckett, Horace Jones, Jimmy Charles Jones, Harold B. Jones, Jerry L. Jones and Mattie Jones Huffman. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dana Jones of Hughes Springs; son, John B. Jones; sister, Diann Young of Marietta; grandchildren, Britney Lloyd and Justin, Dustin Jones and Marissa, Lauren Finney and Shane, Morgan Jones; great grandchildren, Destanee, Christian, Peyton, Kasen, Braylon, Jayci, Faylee, Greyson, Taelyn, Tatum, Brynleigh, Amelia, Rowlin; great- great grandchildren, Kaliyah and Kameron as well God-daughter, Jessica Clayton Brazzeal her husband and their children of Hughes Springs. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt "thank you" to the wonderful staff and caregivers at Windsor Place Nursing and Rehab in Daingerfield and to the very compassionate and caring staff at Chambers Hospice of Mount Pleasant.
