Graveside services for Richard Rhyne, 70, of Daingerfield will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Spring Hill Cemetery in Cason with Reverend Bracy Hill officiating. Services have been entrusted to the Horn Family at Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday evening, August 1, 2023 at the funeral home. Mr. Rhyne was born on April 21, 1953 in Linden to Spurgan and Frances Rhyne. He passed away on Friday evening, July 28, 2023 in a Tyler hospice facility. Richard proudly served his country in the US ARMY and National Guard for 28 years. For his dedication to the service of our country, full military detail will be presented at the graveside. He loved hunting and fishing. He loved spending time at his hunting cabin which was home away from home with his sons and other hunting buddies. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at his deer camp where he would watch his grandchildren explore to adventures of the woods and hunting areas. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Spurgan Rhyne; mother, Frances Rhyne; sister, Pearly Wormington; brother in-law, Randy Taylor; niece, Amanda Elaine Wormington and nephew, Casey Taylor. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Kathy (Love) Rhyne; sons Brandon Rhyne and wife Kayla, Jason Rhyne and wife Cassie, sisters-in-law, Linda Taylor, Debbie Kelso and husband Rodney. He loved his grandchildren, Peyton, Ansleigh, Emmie, Bradley, Maicee, Addison, Kolby and Thomas; nieces, Tammy Simmons, Kayla Kelso; nephews, Doyle Wormington, Justin Taylor, Clay Taylor, Eric Kelso as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Richard's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
