Richard Gordon CarrDaingerfield- Graveside services for Richard Gordon Carr, 82 of Longview will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Norman Miller officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Richard was born April 8, 1933 in Rocky Branch to James M. and Dovie Lee Carr. He died on Friday, May 15, 2015 in Denton.Richard was a member of the Longview Church of Christ where he took care of their lawn for many years. He was veteran of the U S Army and a retired welder for A&E Machine shop. He also was an avid outdoorsman.Survived by his wife Sandee Carr of Reidsville, North Carolina; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheri and David Pickett of Summerfield, North Carolina, Cathy and Matt Poe of Elkland, Missouri, Tammy Taylor of Denton and Angela and Eric Frampton of Atlanta, Ga.; sister Virgie White of Daingerfield; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Candace Taylor, Josh, Sarah, Collin and Aaron Pickett, Andrew, Jordan, Simon and Ian Poe, Drake and Alex Peden; 6 great grandchildren.Family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

I am so sorry that I didn’t know about Mr. Carl’s passing until yesterday. I remember all of you and think of you all often. Cheri, I think you were one of my “bestest” friends and I miss you. Anyway, I am sorry that I didn’t know so I could have come to the funeral home. Please accept my condolences to the whole family.
