Richard Eugene RobinsonDaingerfield- Graveside services for Richard Eugene Robinson, 76 of Daingerfield will be held at 2:15 Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery with Tim Gibbs officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral home.Richard was born September 6, 1937 in Amarillo and died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Tyler.He was a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ, Veteran of the U S Navy for 22 years. Richard received numerous medals and was a photographer during the Vietnam War and was attached to an Air Squadron. Richard was also a master carpenter and a journeyman sheet rocker.Survived by his wife of 44 years, Cheryl Robinson of Daingerfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy & Rob George of Colleyville, Danna & Danny Walters of Euless, Kim & Eric Brown of Mt. Pleasant; sons and daughter-in-law, Ben & Jami Renner of Arlington, Richard Robinson, David Robinson and Patrick Robinson all of California; sister-in-law, Leota Robinson of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.Donations may be made to the Navy Relief Society @ WWW.nmcrs.org Family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. till 4:00 P.M.     Cheryl and family, I send my sincere condolences to all of you. I will always cherish many happy, fun memories of a dear friend from junior high school and through our high school days. He was a great American, Christian and friend.

  7. I want to offer my most heartfelt condolences for the loss of this wonderful man. Richard and I shared some great days on the gridiron in competition and became friends in later years. Richard was a gentle giant of a man. He was kind, courteous and deeply religious. I am glad to have known him and very sorry to learn of his passing.
