Raymon Morris Hawk was born on April 12, 1942, in Salinas, California and was a longtime resident of Daingerfield, Texas. He passed away early Friday morning, December 26, 2025 in a Pittsburg hospital leaving a legacy characterized by his determined, kind, honest, humble, funny, and brave nature. Raymon had enjoyed 64 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Fonda Hawk, with whom he built a loving and supportive home.

A dedicated member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cason, Texas, Raymon was deeply rooted in his faith. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived and loved those around him. He was also renowned for his skills as a welder and fitter, professions through which he provided for his family with great love and dedication.

Raymon took pleasure in deer hunting and playing games like cards and dominos, where he was known for his competitive spirit and never letting you win. He longed for the times he could escape to his deer camp in Palestine, Texas, and was a consummate practical joker and adept at smack talk, bringing laughter and joy to those around him.

In addition to his loving wife, he leaves behind his daughter, Kimberly Francis and her husband Will of Daingerfield; his son, Marcus Hawk of Dallas; and his cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Chad, Jeremy, Sarah, Hunter, Bella, Bentley, Wyatt, Allie, Banks, and Kain.

Raymon was preceded in death by his parents, Emmet and Cornelia Hawk; his daughter, Renee` Jones; and his sister, Kathy Winnett.

Those wishing to honor Raymon’s memory are invited to make contributions to the Truman W. Smith Children’s Care Center, 2200 West Upshur Avenue, Gladewater, Texas 75647.

Raymon’s legacy will live on not only through his family and the many lives he touched with his kind-hearted antics but also through the memories cherished by all who knew him. He was a great and loving provider for his family, a faithful servant of the Lord, and he will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro with Bro. Scott Darby and Bro. Cliff Martindale officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Horn Family Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday evening, December 30, 2025 at the funeral home.
