phillip jeremiah

January 30, 1961 ~ December 13, 2022

Phillip Edward Jeremiah stepped up to the pearly gates of Heaven on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022, at the age of 61. He was born on January 30th, 1961 in Orange, CA. Preceded in death by Raymond and Shirley (Berry) Jeremiah, his father and mother. Prior to moving to northeast Texas, Mr. Jeremiah lived his mid years out of Clovis, CA. Before that, he grew up in southern California in Santa Ana, where he met his future wife and mother of his children. Phil worked as a union plumber for over 31 years at the UA Local 246 in Fresno, CA. He was a dedicated man who enjoyed his work. He also worked for the Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD school district in the maintenance department and also as a school bus driver. Phil was an artist, like his mother. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, covering a wide variety of genres. His strong suit was in humor and math, as he was quick-witted and funny. Phil will always be remembered by his character: strong, smart, giving, grateful, he was a man of God. Phil would take the shirt off his back to help a stranger and give his pocket to help a friend in need. He learned how to become a great father and an even better grandfather. Mr. Jeremiah is survived by the love of his life, Robin Jeremiah, his wife of 41 years. Together they had three children: Amanda, Sarah, and Matthew Jeremiah; with Amanda and Sarah providing 5 grandchildren: Jaden, Ryleigh, Jasper, Ryder, and Ryver. Phillip has two brothers and two sisters, all with their respective wives and husbands as well as many children and grandchildren, his nieces, and nephews. Phil donated his body to science upon death, still helping others even after he has gone; he will be cremated, and his ashes will be shed as he wished. He never let anything hold him back, he proved to be a true fighter, surviving cancer and multiple heart attacks, He fought for his marriage, his offspring, and had a Big Love for life itself. In lieu of flowers, he had requested any donations be made to a heart or cancer foundation of your choosing. If you have anything you would like to contribute to the family during this difficult time, please reach out to us, we would love to hear from anyone and everyone. Memorial services will be held at South Union Baptist Church on Saturday, January 28th at 2pm. All are welcome to join us in remembering Phil, please spread the word; we would love to see and meet with all of those whom he has been known to, shaken hands with, and brought his light and love to your hearts. Honoring his requests, arrangements are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.

  1. One of my favorite memories of Phil is, the BBQ cook off that he got to judge about 10 or so yesrs ago. He was running arounfd in his overalls with a small white towel draped over the front of the overalls. He had me laughing that whole day. He would come find me and tell me where the best brisket, ribs, chicken and anything he had tasted. Then there was watermelon and ice cream. He was such a kind hearted soul. Everyone just adored him. Myself included. Rest in Peace Phil. Rock on.🎸🎸🎸

  2. Phil was a friend and a fellow plumber In union local 246 Fresno. He was my apprentice and he was a good one. RIP man… RIP
