Patrick Ewell Pollan Daingerfield - Services For Patrick Ewell Pollan, 65, of Daingerfield will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13. 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Dr.Tim Wade and Rev. Jay Pollan officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery underthe direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Mr. Pollan was born December 30, 1944 in Knox City, Texas and died November 10, 2010 in Tyler, Texas. He was a member of the Daingerfield High School class of 1963. He thenattended Southern Arkansas University and graduated in 1967 with a degree inBusiness Administration and Accounting. During college, he joined the United States Air Force Reserves. After collegehe began a long career in the nursing home business. Over the next 40 years, he filled many roles as both owner and administrator of several nursing homes beforeretiring in 2007.Preceded in death by his parents, Minta & Montie Pollan.He is survived by his wife, Janet Pollan of Daingerfield; daughter & son-in-law, Wendy & David Burgy of Tulsa, OK; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Robin Pollan of Texarkana, TX; stepsons, Richard Barnard & wife April, ChrisBarnard & wife Tracey, & Allen Barnard & wife Katie all of Hughes Springs;6 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren; several relatives & friends.Family will receive friends 6 pm til 8 pm Friday at the funeral home.

  4. I was so very sad to hear about Pat & I know it was a great loss to his family and friends. I was Pat’s secretary for 8 years and I always admired him so much. He was a great boss, friend & man. Pat loved life so much & enjoyed life to its fullest.
