So sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. I remember dad buying me clothes at his store especially a suit for Easter when I was a kid. My thoughts and prayers go out for the family.
So much of any success that I have had in my business life is directly related to the mentoring and opportunity that Pat Knieff gave me.As a young man searching for a career path after a couple of stumbles and disappointments, Pat not only gave me a stable job but encouraged me and showed tremendous patience in helping me redirect my life onto a positive path.He has and always will be a hero in my heart, soul and mind.My prayers and thoughts are with all the Knieff family. Though it is a time of sadness it is also a time of reflection and gratitude for a life full of energy, creativity and legacy.
I want to say thank you Pat for all you did for our city of Daingerfield, when i was employed by you in your store, you never new how much you helped me and my mother with your kindness by giving me a job. My heart is so sad. My prayers are with all of you.
I remember many a shopping trip with my mother or father and having the Knieffs helping us find just what we wanted.. Pat was such a friendly helpful person. He will be missed.
There are so many memories of Pat and his family from all of our years in Daingerfield. What a great loss this is to all. Going shopping at Knieff’s was always a delight and The Knieff’s were great pillars of the community and such an influence on us during the years of our youth at the Methodist Church. We send our deepest condolences to Gwen and his children. May the many wonderful memories with friends, family, and your faith bring you comfort and peace in the coming days. With our deepest sympathy, Beth & Matthew Lanagan
Gwen, I happened across the obituary while looking for another one… so sorry that Pat has gone but I bet he and Barbara Ann are talking up a storm!!! I always enjoyed visiting with you both. Love you, Kaye
Mr. Kneiff sold me some suits and sportcoats for my sales career with EL Farmer Trucking in Lone Star, Texas. He fitted them so well that I still wear them today. What a craftsman he was!
