Ora Beatrice “Bea” Davis
Bea Davis went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was surrounded by her family at her daughter Debbie Westbrook’s home in Longview, TX.
Bea was born October 25, 1935 to Roy Arlin Chandler and Mary Vernie Bradberry Chandler in Cullman, Alabama. As an adult she lived in Chicago, IL, Chippewa Falls, WI, Richmond KY, College Station, TX, Waco, TX, Pueblo, CO, and for the past 9 years in Kingwood, TX. No matter where she made her home one thing that remained steadfast was her love and devotion to God her Heavenly Father and her church community.
Bea was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her four children. While raising her family they could always count on a delicious sit-down meal both in the morning and evening, allowing time to gather as a family. She harvested and canned food from the garden and was also gifted with creativity. She excelled in sewing clothes for her children and herself. She also had a passion for home décor and DIY furniture refinishing, wall papering, painting and choosing the perfect home furnishings. She created a home for her family that was a place of love, comfort, peace and beauty.
In her younger days and when she had “spare” time she enjoyed playing on a bowling league and visiting the elderly by bringing joy to those who could not get out. Over the years, she has enjoyed playing games with friends and family such as 42 dominoes, Phase 10 and Five Kings card games. No matter where she lived she surrounded herself with friends from all walks of life.
Bea was preceded in death by her parents Roy Arlin and Mary Vernie Chandler, sister, Esther Lee Koch, husband, Lemoine Davis and son-in-Law, Grover Ry Ryman.
She is survived by her children, daughters, Janet Ryman, Debbie and husband Wes Wesbrook, Shari and husband Kendall Krienke, son, Steve and wife Maritza Botsford, step-son Steve and wife Loretta Davis and step-daughter Diane and husband Tom Weston. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
