Michael Wayne LairdDaingerfield- Funeral services for Michael Wayne Laird, 62 of Leesburg will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Nub Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Rocky Branch.Michael was born on September 3, 1952 in Levelland, Texas to J. B. and Bessie Laird and died on December 10, 2014 in Winnsboro.Michael was a Baptist and worked as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Barnard and brother, Jimmy Laird.Survived by his wife, Anna Laird of Leesburg; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jamie Laird of Durham, N.C.; grandson, Noah Laird of Durham, N.C.; sister, Mary McLaughlin of Victorville, CA.; mother-in-law, Johnnie House of Winnsboro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Beverly Precise of Winnsboro.Family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Mike’s death. My prayers go out to his family. I have fond memories of Mike growing up with him in Lone Star.
Mr. Laid, it was a privledge to have known and worked with you, you will be missed. Rest in peace.
It was nice working with Mike at the unit in Winnsboro. He was a great worker. Sorry to hear about your loss, he will truely be missed.
