Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I grew up with Melba, was one of the Cason boys and was a classmate of Thomas White in elementary school in Cason until I moved to Daingerfield when I was 10. Melba was either one or two years ahead of me in school. I remember going to Melba’s house on the Cason/Daingerfield highway and playing as a youngster. I still have the yearbook with a picture of Melba as the most beautiful girl and she was a raving beauty. I always though she should have been a movie star. I would love to be able to attend her services to pay my respects but I live in Atlanta, Georgia and the distance precludes that.

  2. I was born and reared in Daingerfield, and I remember primarily from my high school years. She was 2-3 years ahead of me and I always thought she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever seen. She was so nice and so well liked. I thought she and Don were one of the best looking couples I knew. I have been gone from Daingerfield for about 55 years, but I remember she and Don very well. My sympathies to the family. Cherish your memories of her until you see her once again.

  3. I am so sorry to find out about her loss. She was such a friend and comfort growing up. I will miss her presence.
