  1. Scott was on of the kindest people I have the pleasure of knowing. He was the first person that showed up at the hospital when my son was ill. I am grateful for having known him. RIP.

  5. Sorry to hear about the passing of Scott. RIP.

  6. Sorry to hear about the passing of Scott. RIP.

  7. Scott was one of my closest friends for many, many years.

He and I very famously received speeding tickets in Upshur County for driving over 100 miles an hour by an Ore City Policeman……

Scott was ticketed for 103 mph and I was ticketed for 104 mph.

Scott’s Father Bob was the City Judge in Lone Star for many years.

The Justice of the Peace in Upshur County called Bob and asked him if he knew us and when Bob explained that Scott was his son and I was Scott’s Friend the Justice of the Peace asked Bob what he wanted him to do Bob said “Throw the book at them” !!!!!!

Scott and I were both fined $ 242.50 by the Justice of the Peace.

That was a lot of money in 1980 and it is still a lot of money……..

What the Ore City Policeman, the Justice of the Peace in Upshur County, Judge Bob Mattox and others did not know was that Scott and I had slowed down over 30 miles an hour before we got stopped and ticketed in Upshur County……

Unfortunately I was in the hospital in a coma when Scott passed away and when Scott’s Service was held……

    I grieved his loss deeply…….

He was truly a very good friend of mine for many, many years…….

He and I spent a great deal of time on Lone Star Lake going from place to place on a barge……

A truly peaceful experience every time that we did it……

I thanked God for his friendship then and I Thank God For Scott’s lifetime of friendship now……

God Bless Scott and All Of The Mattox Family……

Submitted with love and the greatest respect……
