Martin Luther Sullivan, age 88, of East Texas, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026. He was born on April 19, 1937.

Martin was raised in East Texas and, at the age of 17, answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He dedicated many years of honorable service before retiring from the Army. Following his military career, Martin continued his strong work ethic at Lone Star Steel until his retirement.

A man of faith, Martin was a devoted member of South Union Missionary Baptist Church, which he considered his home church. He found great joy in cooking and was known for sharing meals and fellowship with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda June Sullivan; his parents, Morgan H. Sullivan and Ila Ree Wilson; his sister, Kay Seabolt; and his great-granddaughter, Sage Elizabeth Moyer.

Martin is survived by his son, Marty W. Sullivan and wife Cindy of Diana, Texas; his daughter, Judy C. Lower of Ore City, Texas; and his cherished grandchildren: John W. Moyer III and wife Kayla of North Carolina; Jamie Kreimeyer of Little Rock, Arkansas; Zachrey Terry of Dallas, Texas; Jessie Sullivan of Diana, Texas; Marty W. Sullivan Jr. of Diana, Texas; Christi McGheen and husband Reid of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He also leaves behind his beloved great-grandchildren: Riley Moyer, Emilee Moyer, Hunter Moyer, Elizabeth Kreimeyer, Sarah McGheen, Preston Kreimeyer, and Gene McLean-Moyer, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM at South Union Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, April 3, 2026. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the chapel of Horn Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Omaha, Texas.
