M. E. “Shot” LanierDaingerfield- Funeral services for M. E. “Shot” Lanier will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Lilley’s Chapel Church of Christ with Norman Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Clark Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.Shot was born September 17, 1940 in Morris County and died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in Longview.He was a life-long trucker driver and was of the Church of Christ faith.Shot was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Haylee Driskell and father M. L. Lanier. Survived by his wife, Nelda Sue Lanier of Daingerfield; son & daughter-in-law, Terry & Angela Lanier of Daingerfield; daughter & son-in-law, Marcee & Bryan Buckner of Greenwood, La.; mother, Dorothy Lanier of Daingerfield; 2 brothers, Scottie Lanier of Daingerfield & J. C. Lanier of Daingerfield; 2 sisters, LaJuan Barton of Hooks and Genevia Moddisette of Laird Hill; grandchildren, Savanaha, Sarah & Brooke Lanier all of Daingerfield, D. J. Driskell of Greenwood, La. and Elizabeth Buckner of Greenwood, La. Numerous uncles & Aunts.Family will receive friends from 6:00P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.







Sue and family, I am so sorry for your lost. When mother and I were living in Uncle Clarence’s house I remember him coming to bring mother hot peppers. Please know you and the family are in my prayers.
