Larry Glenn Martin went to be with the Lord on Christmas day, December 25, 2022 in a Tyler hospital. He was born on November 30, 1939 in Daingerfield to O.T. and Opal Martin. Larry worked for many years at Glass Chevrolet in Daingerfield where he earned several nicknames including "Toad". He enjoyed fishing and was a Baptist. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Larry was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Lisa Evans and sister, Linda Lee. He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Loraine "Sissy" Martin of Daingerfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Evans and husband Sammy of Daingerfield, Tina Duensing and husband John of Daingerfield; grandchildren, Samantha Elliott of Conroe, Michael Evans of Tomball; nieces, Jennifer West of DFW, Melissa Churchill of DFW and sister-in-law, Bonnie Kerns of Gilmer. The family will have a time of visitation from 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. A private service will be held at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery in Hughes Springs.

  4. John T. and I are so sorry to hear of Larry’s Passing. Every time I ever saw him he was always smiling and laughing. We always enjoyed seeing him. He reminded me so much of Uncle Mutt. Our thoughts and prayers are with Loraine and the family. We are praying for God’s comfort for you.
