Kip Davis

Kip Franklin Davis, age 61, of Mt. Pleasant passed away peacefully June 19, 2022 at his home, along with his dog Tania. Kip was born July 8, 1960, to Benny and Helen Davis in Dallas, Texas. A month premature, barely weighing 4lbs. He grew up to be a healthy and active son, brother, husband and dad. He worked at LSS as a mechanic. He went on to retire from Priefert’s where he was an electrician for 20+ years to own his own business, C&N Technology. He loved playing golf. Often winning tournaments at Daingerfield Country Club where he was a former member. He enjoyed telling jokes, fishing and watching old westerns. He was survived by his loving wife Maria Davis; sons, that he was very proud of and loved dearly, Jason Davis of Dallas and Jeremy Davis and fiancé’ Niki Cheek of Mt. Pleasant; brother and best friend Michael Davis and wife Trudy of Lone Star, and sister Lisa Sweet and husband Randy of Pittsburg; brother-in-law Luis Marin Gomez Moreno and sister-in-law Araceli Gomez Moreno of Mexico City; nieces, Jamie Castaneda, Britney Denman, Kristy Uriate’, Cortney Davis, who he often entertained with magic tricks, and practical jokes as well as seven great nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amanda Jo Davis Roach; brother-in-law Juan Eugenio Gomez Moreno and sister-in-law Maria Guadalupe Gomez Moreno. A private Family Memorial is planned at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
