June Wallace PickensAugust 10, 1941 - November 20, 2018 Memorial services for June Pickens, 77, loving wife, mother and sister will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel in Daingerfield, Texas.She was born on August 10, 1941 in Daingerfield, Texas to J.D. and Ida Wallace. She graduated from Daingerfield High School.Mrs. Pickens' passion was travel and she worked for many years as a travel agent in Greenville, Texas. She traveled the world with her husband. Their favorite destination was Italy, where they visited numerous times and relished the Italian cuisine.Mrs. Pickens was preceded in death by her father J.D. Wallace, brother J.D. "Dennis" Wallace, Jr. and husband Dwight Pickens. She is survived by her mother, Ida Wallace; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sunita White of San Antonio, Texas and her son, Darrell White of Irving, Texas; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Lain and Janis Pickens of Flint, Texas; her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Rose of Tyler, Texas; and one step grandchild, Christina Brooke Pickens of Fort Worth, Texas.The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the Tender Care unit of Colonial Lodge and Kindred Hospice in Greenville, Texas. They made her special journey so much easier and their presence was a comfort to the family.
