Services for John Kenneth Rudd 81 of Daingerfield will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Nail-Haggard Funeral home Chapel with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.John was born on November 19, 1939 in Big Spring to Chester and Vera Reed Rudd. He died on Wednesday August 11, 2021.John was a member of First Baptist Church in Daingerfield and was retired from Babcock and Wilcox Construction Company where was the project Superintendent. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner and a member of the Boilermakers Union. John enjoyed animals, especially his cows, dogs and cats.He was preceded in death by his parents and son Kevin Rudd.Survived by his wife Diann Rudd of Daingerfield; son Mark Rudd of Winnsboro; friend Albert Pena of Winnsboro; grand daughters Brittany Rudd of Ft. Worth, Ashley Rudd of Ft. Worth, Kelley Raspberry of Sweetwater; grand son Kevin Ray Rudd, Jr. of Austin; great granddaughters Sophia Rudd and Alayna Rudd; sisters Irene and Shelton Thornton of N. Carolina, Shirley and Fred Brabbin of Garland; brother Ernest and Hazel Rudd of Daingerfield; numerous nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends from 5 till 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Online condolences may be made at Nail-HaggardFH.com

  3. We lost one of the great ones. First time I met John, I was one of his non union competitors in a meeting, the next time I saw him I was working for him as a Union Member, Thank you John. He was hard on me but never once mistreated me or done me wrong, and you always knew where you stood with him, because John didn’t have a poker face. if he Didn’t like you, he would tell you. RIP Mr. John Rudd.. Prayers to all the Family and Friends.

  5. I worked with John on many projects and he taught me quite alot. Most of it took , some of it didn’t. But John had my respect. I am sympathetic for your loss. I’m sure he will be missed.
