Jessica April Edwards

July 12, 1980 ~ November 12, 2025

Born in: Linden, Texas
Resided in: Hughes Springs, Texas

We lovingly remember Jessica April Edwards, who passed away at the age of 45. An adventurous, fun, and active soul, April was born on July 12, 1980, in Linden and made her home in Hughes Springs. She went to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening, November 12, 2025 while at her home and surrounded by her loving family.

April married James Edwards on September 12, 1998, in Hughes Springs, where they nurtured their enduring love for 27 years. Together, they raised three wonderful sons, Trey, Tyler, and Tristen, all of Hughes Springs. April took pride in watching her sons play sports and race dirtbikes, embracing every moment with them with unbridled joy and enthusiasm.

Professionally, April dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse, having earned her Bachelor’s of Nursing. Her career spanned various roles including travel nurse and home health care, where she provided compassionate care across regional communities.

Her passions extended beyond her professional and family life. April was an ardent fisher, avid Scrabble player, and delighted in raising French Bulldogs. She was an active member of the Church of Christ of Hughes Springs, where she found spiritual solace and community.

April treasured becoming a loving wife and mother, and a devoted nurse, accomplishments that she held close to her heart as her most cherished. April was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Beckham and grandparents, Harold and Mary Shirley, Harold Beckham and Verbie Fitzhenry. She leaves behind not only her immediate family but also her brother, Travis Beckham and his wife Marcie of Cibolo; her mother, Denise Beckham and John Platt of Hughes Springs; several nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
In her memory, contributions can be made to Ronald McDonald House Global, 26345 Network Place, Chicago, IL 60673-1263, an organization close to her heart.

April’s legacy of love, kindness, and vibrant spirit will continue to inspire and resonate within all who knew her. We bid farewell to a remarkable woman who has imprinted her joy and care deeply in our hearts. A service to celebrate April’s life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Horn Family Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
