Graveside services for Jerry Don Bailey, Jr., 58, of Hughes Springs will be held at 2 PM Wed. Jan. 5, 2022 at Veal Switch Cemetery in Hughes Springs with Bro. Michael Roberts officiating under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Mr. Bailey was born on March 7, 1963 and passed away on Jan. 2, 2022 at his home. He proudly served his country with both the United States Coast Guard and the United States ARMY. For his dedicated service, full military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 351 of Hughes Springs. Jerry loved carpentry and working on his truck and corvettes. He especially loved his dog "Leanna". Jerry grew up in and attended Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church. He survived by his daughter, Melanie Bailey Harp and husband Boomer; son, Justin Bailey and wife Samantha; mother, Kay Bailey of Hughes Springs; sisters, Sherry Sinclair and husband Shawn of Sulphur Springs, Marla McCord and husband Matt of Hughes Springs; as well as 5 grandchildren.
