James L. (Jay) Shelton

James L. (Jay) Shelton, Jr., 28, of Daingerfield, formerly of Grand Prarie was born on December 7, 1995 in Arlington to James L., Sr. and Laurie Shelton. He passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024 in Daingerfield. Though physically limited during his brief time here on earth, James was full of life. He attended and graduated from Jefferson High School in 2017. He absolutely loved school where he could enjoy activities but most of all fellowship with other students. His favorite thing to do was watch television, where Winnie the Pooh was his favorite character and he loved every moment spent with his family. Jay was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father; aunt, Jaye Pyle of Daingerfield and cousin, Donavan Pyle of Daingerfield. Services have been entrusted to Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.
