James "Jim" Lawrence Power

James "Jim" Lawrence Power Sr. was born on September 5, 1936 to John Power and Alice Cranford. He passed away on September 11, 2024. Jim attended high school at the Texas Military Institute in San Antonio. He then went on to graduate from Trinity University in 1960. He worked in the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) for 30 years before retiring at Northeast Texas Community College as a lab instructor. Jim had many passions in life which included fishing, gardening, and the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Power and Alice Cranford. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Power; children, Alden Smith and her husband, Mike, Mary Bornheim, Katherine Skelton and her husband, Jim, James Power and his wife, Stacey, John Power; 6 grand children, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring his wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
