Jacque Weber, a devoted wife, beloved mother, proud grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by the love and gratitude of a family who adored her and countless friends who cherished her throughout her life. Born Jacque Sells on August 4, 1942, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Jack and Sue Sells, Jacque was the older sister of Dennis Sells (deceased). Her early life in Oklahoma shaped the warmth, resilience, and kindness that she carried into every chapter of her life. It was during her time at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater that she met the love of her life, Gary Weber. The two built an enduring partnership that spanned 62 beautiful years until Gary’s passing in November 2023. Together, Jacque and Gary raised two sons, Stephen (of Austin, TX) and Rodney (of Apple Valley, CA), who remained the center of her heart. She was immensely proud of her grandson, Casey Weber, whose achievements and joy brought her endless pride. Though she was unable to attend Casey’s recent wedding to his beloved bride, Paige, due to hospitalization, Jacque expressed often and openly how deeply proud she was of both of them, and how perfectly matched she believed they were. Jacque was a woman of remarkable strength and grace, who built a life defined by love, loyalty, and adventure. For over a decade, she and Gary lived overseas as expatriates in Newman, Western Australia and Tabubil, Papua New Guinea—experiences she embraced fully, forming lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. Prior to that, they made their home in Kirtland, New Mexico. In 1999, after suffering a stroke, Jacque returned to the U.S. with Gary and eventually settled in Daingerfield, Texas, where they lived for 25 years and found deep roots in the community. She especially enjoyed visits from her nieces, Erin and Erica, and her nephew, Kyle, who all shared a special bond with their "Aunt Jacque." A talented and prolific quilter, Jacque’s creativity warmed countless homes and hearts. She found joy in service as a 4-H Leader, belonged to the Benevolent and Protective Order (BPO), and was an active member of Jenkins Methodist Church in Daingerfield, where her faith and friendships brought her strength and comfort. In recent years, Jacque made her home with Rodney in Apple Valley, California, where she met and befriended several of Rodney’s co-workers and friends and was lovingly cared for and remained surrounded by family. To know Jacque was to know someone who never took love for granted. She nurtured every relationship—whether family, neighbor, or friend—with sincerity and enduring affection. Her legacy is one of fierce devotion, quiet wisdom, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her spirit: sons Stephen and Rodney, grandson Casey and his new bride, Paige and extended family and friends across the globe who were lucky enough to know her. Though she will be dearly missed, her life will continue to inspire those who loved her. A celebration of Jacque’s life will be held at 1:00 PM., Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Methodist Church in Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jacque’s memory to the American Stroke Association or a charity of your choice.

  1. I was privileged to know Jacque for many years. She was such a precious lady. Always smiling. Always interested in others. Devoted to her family and her faith. She seemed more like part of our family than a friend. We will miss her dearly. May God give comfort and peace to her family.
