Jack Belcher

Services for Jack Belcher, 79, of Gladewater will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday August 27, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in Gladewater. Services are under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. Mr. Belcher was born on April 22,1943 to Lydia and Ollie Belcher and passed away on August 14, 2022 at his residence. He Married Norma Takeash in 1962 and they divorced in 1970. In 1972 he married Sandra Kay Zehender and they remained married for 30 years. Mr. Belcher served as a missionary to Cambodia for twelve years and worked as a mariner mechanic for Hess Oil Corporation for thirty years. He enjoyed watching all sports (except for golf), and used to be in a bowling league. He believed in family dinner together at the table, news, wheel of fortune , and then bible study, which was family time. The only boy out of six children he is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by children Joseph Lee Belcher and Marlene Rock Boyles and one living sister; Grace Bishop.
