Virginia Wall officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield.J. C. was born April 27, 1924 in Naples and died Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Longview.He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from Darr Equipment. J. C. was a member of Wesley-Mccaab Methodist Church and a Polled Hereford Rancher.Connor was preceded in death by his wife Frankie Bell Mathews.Survived by nieces, Gayle Still and husband Ronny of Longview, Joanna Graham and husband Fred of Henderson; nephew, Eddie Roberson, Jr. of Longview.Several other nieces and nephews.

I am offering condolences on behalf of my mom, Ruth Brown. She knew and loved both Connor and Frankie when she lived near them quite a few years ago. She had talked to Connor recently but had found the number disconnected and feared that he has lost his battle. We just discovered the details of his death. We are so sorry for your loss. They were both lovely people.
