Well Heaven is a more beautiful place since the arrival of Curtis yesterday! I will always remember his warm, friendly smile when I would take Mom out to see him and sit on his porch, have coffee and relive some of the “good ole days”. Just sorry I was no longer able to hop in my car and go out to see him. And Frances, he could have looked the world over and never could have found a more loving, compassionate and loyal wife than you. Boy, what a Strickland reunion they must be having with all the relatives that were there, along with Jesus, to welcome him Home!! Love to all, Sheila
I will always remember the fun time we had as children living at the “Five Point” community. Such a great little neighbor due to people like Curtis. I also remember they many times of riding with him to the Big Sandy skating rink. As I recall that is where he met his lovely wife.
Rest in peace my friend.
We sadly say goodbye to one of our own, Curtis Hester. He taught us to appreciate all of nature with a different lens and a different eye. When he discovered something new on one of hikes, he would share the most incredible photos along with the details of his research With him, life was an adventure and a learning experience. He loved his trips to Arkansas. We appreciated his photos taken at Petit Jean, especially at sunrise and sunsets. Curtis, you blessed my life and I already miss you. Lizabeth J Elkins

One of the kindest and gentlest people I have ever known. Your passing leaves this world lacking and your next world is enriched. Goodbye old friend!
