Graveside services for George Earnest Clay, 92, of Daingerfield will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Clark Cemetery in Jenkins with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home of Daingerfield. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 at the cemetery. He will lie state Tuesday, February 1, 2002 at the funeral home. Mr. Clay was born on July 1, 1929 in Jenkins to William and Alma Payne Clay. He passed away on Saturday afternoon, January 29, 2022 in a Pittsburg hospital. Mr. Clay proudly served his country for 25 years as a plane mechanic with the United States Air Force before retiring. He worked for Morris County and was a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Clay was preceded in death by his parents first wife Joan Clay. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marion Clay of Daingerfield; sons, Timothy Clay and Angie of Frisco, Dennis Clay and Gail of Burleson, Jerry Clay of Rosenburg, Kevin Ray Walker of Daingerfield, Jerry Keith Walker of Daingerfield, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
