  2. Fred Buckner Vinson says:

Eddie was brother of my daddy Frank Gary Vinson and Abe Vinson and Lila Story Vinson. I always admired and looked up to Eddie while growing up in Henderson, Texas in the 1950s. ALL my memories of Eddie are positive as he was a kind and considerate teen and then man. We loved to remember, tell and laugh at our old stories. I learned a lot about life and family from Eddie. Over the last few years, we visited and I received a ton of information about that ….and it will be included in a book about the Vinson family. One of my earliest and fondest memories is Eddie helping a very and too young me onto the back of Old Tony, the family white plow horse. Then chasing after us as Old Tony ran to the barn with me hanging on his neck. Then as Old Tony abruptly stopped at the barn, picking me up off the ground and holding an excited me. I am so very sorry to lose Eddie to this life as he treated me so well as a young boy and continued throughout our lives. I’ll miss him. Fred Buckner Vinson

  3. I am so thankful for the memories of the last Thanksgiving Uncle Eddie was able to make at Andy’s a few years ago. My boys got to meet him and talked about how much they enjoyed talking with him. They talked about what a smart man he was. They never got to meet Frank their grandfather but this was the next best thing to them. He will be missed by all of us.

  4. I also cherish the memories of him just out of the blue coming to visit , driving up in his van with his little dog he loved so much.

  5. I always enjoyed listening to Eddie and Paul talk about old times. They had a good time together growing up. Paul said Eddie was like a big brother. Condolences to the family. I know he will be dearly missed.
