Prayers for the family!
We literally knew each other and were best friends all of our lives. We’re broken hearted he’s gone at such an early age, but happy in the knowledge that we’ll see him again one day. Absent from the body, present with the Lord for those of us who are saved, and Doyle absolutely was saved long ago.
I was so sorry to hear about Doyle. I have such wonderful memories of him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Judy
I am so sad to hear of a special friend passing. Doyle and I where brother drummers in the High School Band. We had many memorable times with our other brothers, Murray, Johnny, Rich and Norman. My sympathy to all his family and friends. Doyle is missed but always will be remembered.

May God richly bless you in the loss of your son and father. While we can celebrate his wonderful life and memories, the grief of his loss will overshadow all for just a short spell. Then we can remember God, who made him, has given him the best invitation to sit and dine with him. May you find peace of mind, peace of heart, and peace of spirit in your days ahead. And, may God bless you until the day you can walk with him again.
We were extremely sorry to hear about your loss. May God bless his family and friends during this time.
Monday, 11:30 a.m. Dearest Pete, Bobbie, Delores, Danny and all the family, I just read a few moments ago Doyle’s obituary while I was in the High School Library. I wish I could have been there today, but please know that you all in our thoughts and prayers. Just a week ago I found some of Glynn’s things along with some letters and keepsakes and one of the letters was from Doyle when he was in the Marines. I thought about him and all the fun they used to have together. Now they are together laughing and carrying on once again. : ) We love you and we’re praying for you during this difficult time of loss, and though we don’t get to share times together now, we will always continue to cherish the wonderful memories of the many great times that we’ve all shared together throughout the years. Love, Glynda and Erlyne
When I think of Doyle, I am flooded with thoughts and old memories of “good old”school bus # 5. Makes me smile as I remember Deloris, Danny and Doyle running out of the house to get on the bus. To your family ,call out to The Great Comfortor. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Aw man. Hate to hear of this loss. One of the good guys….
I remember Doyle from Band. Just wanted Delores and the family to know that I am so sorry for their loss. I will be praying for you all and wanted to remind you that according to Isaiah 61:1, Jesus is the one who can heal the broken hearted. I believe with all my heart that this is not the end but only the beginning for those who die in Christ. God Bless You All in your time of sorrow.
Uncle Pete & Aunt Bobbie, I’m so very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Love, June
Dear Uncle Pete, Aunt Bobbie, Danny, and Delores, So sorry to learn of Doyle’s passing. It’s been far too long since I last saw him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Seba
The Ellisons felt like family to my brothers and I. We grew up together and Bobbie and Pete were extra parents to us. I love Danny and Doyle like brothers and Delores as a sister. You will all be in my heart and prayers as you adjust to the loss of Doyle Gwenn. Doyle’s sunset on earth was a sunrise in Heaven, what a glorious time for him. Many wonderful memories will comfort us until the Reunion…
So sorry to hear about Doyle. We knew Doyle and his family when he served as Youth Minister at First Baptist Church in Avinger twenty years ago. We will be praying for the family.
